The United States Flag was established by the Continental Congress as the official flag for the new nation on June 14, 1777. Between 1777 and 1960 Congress has passed several acts that have changed the design, shape and arrangement of the flag. Today’s flag consists of 50 white stars on a field of blue and 13 horizontal stripes, seven red and six white. The stripes represent the 13 Colonies, while the stars represent the 50 states of the Union. It is my honor to reproduce this iconic piece of American history in wood and I hope that you will display it proudly for years to come!
